Jan. 2nd – First day for any registered voter presently within the confines of the United States, to make application by mail, online or in-person for a vote by mail ballot. (10 ILCS 5/19-2, 19-4)

Feb. 20th – First day an election authority may mail a vote by mail ballot (10 ILCS 5/19-4)

First day of early voting. (10 ILCS 5/19A-15)

Mar. 4th – Last day for regular voter registration.
–Grace period registration will commence after this date.– (10 ILCS 5/5-50, 6-50, 6-53)

Mar. 16th – Last day for online voter registration. (10 ILCS 5/1A-16.5)

Mar. 27th – Last day an election authority may receive an application, either by mail or online, for a vote by mail ballot. (10 ILCS 5/19-2)

Apr. 8th – Last day a provisional voter may submit additional documentation verifying or supporting their voter registration status. (10 ILCS 5/18A-15(d))

Apr. 15th – Last day for an election authority to validate and count provisional ballots & Vote By Mail ballots that were:
- Postmarked by Election Day, and were received after the close of the polls on Election Day, but not later than 14 days after the election.
- Not postmarked, but contains a certification date prior to Election Day on the certification envelope, and were received after the close of the polls on Election Day, but not later than 14 days after the election.
- Not postmarked, but includes an intelligent mail barcode tracking system that verifies the
envelope was mailed no later than Election Day, and received not later than 14 days after
the election. (10 ILCS 5/19-8)
