  • 2026 GENERAL ELECTION
    TUESDAY,
    November 3rd, 2026

    August 5th

    First day for any registered voter within the confines of the United States to apply by mail or in
    person to the election authority for an official vote by mail ballot. Please note that mailing and
    delivery of ballots does not begin until Thursday, September 24, 2026. (10 ILCS 5/19-2, 19-4)

    September 24th

    First day Vote by Mail ballots shall be sent to the USPS for delivery & first day of Early Voting.

    October 6th

    Close of regular voter registration. Grace Period Registration begins after this date.
    *Voters may still register online through October 18th.*

    October 18th

    Last day of online voter registration.
    ____________________________________

    October 26th

    Last for registered UOCAVA voters to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot.

    November 2nd

    Last day of Early Voting.

    Day of the 2026 General Election.
    Polls are open from 6:00am – 7:00pm.
